MALAYSIAN NATIONAL DAY

The Nation celebrates its 48th Independence Day this 31st of August 2005.
I saw this bust of the
Tunku at the Royal Selangor Pewter Factory at thought that I should paste this image on my blog.

How many of us remember our first Prime Minister raising his hand shouting the words MERDEKA (Freedom) 7 times, freeing us from the hands of the British Rule.
The other pictures I want to place in my blog, during this time, are that of the UNKNOWN SOLDIERS that sacrificed their lives so that we may enjoy this FREEDOM that we take it for granted.

The many wars: 1914 - 1918 World War 1, 1939 - 1944 World War 2 and the 1948 - 1960 Confrontation (Emergency) in Malaya should remind us that wars can be deadly & long. Looking at the world at large one can see the numerous sufferings of its people from wars or from natural tredigies. PEACE IS PRICELESS, TREAT IT WELL.
We must say a silent prayer that Malaysia is blessed and that we can still live in harmony with our fellow men may they be of the other race.
